Justin Gaethje’s Doubt about his UFC Future Draws Mixed Reaction from Fans

Justin Gaethje achieved the dream of his career when he won the UFC Lightweight Championship during UFC Freedom 250. Defeating the likes of Ilia Topuria, the ‘Highlight’ is currently at the peak of his career. However, now that he is the champion, questions about who Gaethje would face next have become a topic of discussion. 

There are a number of opponents that will be eager to fight for the title. For example, Arman Tsarukyan has just beaten Mauricio Ruffy and is looking to clinch Gaethje’s belt. Then there's Ilia Topuria, who's looking for an immediate rematch to win back his lost glory.

Justin Gaethje Puts Fighting Future in Question

Reflecting on his future, Gaethje confirmed that if he fights again, his next opponent would be Tsarukyan and not Topuria. However, the 37-year-old looked significantly uncertain about whether he will fight again at all. 

Gaethje said, “ is the next in line. If and when I defend this championship, that will be who I fight. I just don't know right now. I'm just going to enjoy being the champion for the rest of the year. I'm going to make a business decision and a life decision whenever the time comes."
