Dvalishvili was constantly in the headlines last year, not only for his title fights but also for publicly declaring his intention to find a traditional Georgian bride and settle down.
This decision appeared to be influenced by his close friend and teammate Aljamain Sterling's marriage and settling down. Sterling married in October last year.
More recently, Dvalishvili was interviewed by Helen Yee he was asked about his dating life.
Dvalishvili admitted that he has decided to step away from dating for now after struggling to find someone who shares his approach to relationships.
“Maybe for now I give up, you know,” Dvalishvili said. “Because was really trying, but it's very hard to, you know, I don't think the girls want to have a family today.”
The Georgian fighter also acknowledged that he may not be fully ready to settle down, particularly because his focus remains on his MMA career. He also explained that his views on dating differ from his experiences in the United States.
“There is also maybe I'm not 100% ready because now I'm focused for fight, you know, I'm not from the United States. So when we talk about dating, it's good, but you go date, you go home, you sleep with her. So I don't understand,” Dvalishvili
continued.
When asked which part of Las Vegas he searches for potential partners, Dvalishvili suggested that the location does not really matter because his expectations remain the same. He believes that he wants a woman who approaches dating with the intention of eventually getting married rather than looking for something casual.
“Doesn't matter, because I think like this, you know, for women, I think women should only date for marriage. And then this kind of woman is wife material, like not, let's see how, you know, not casual, not like hook up, like stuff like this,” Dvalishvili explained.
