Sean Strickland revealed that he has started training full-time, which indicates that the next encounter may not be far away.

Sean Strickland often reduces the timing of his sessions despite being known for training almost every day. But 'Tarzan' has now started delving into full-time training sessions, despite the UFC's complete silence about his next fight.

Strickland's actions, however, hinted that the rumors about his next encounter and opponent might turn out to be authentic.

What Does Sean Strickland’s Return to Training Full-Time Imply?

Several UFC fighters, apart from Strickland, maintain a dedicated training regimen when they are fit. Compared to Strickland's almost daily hard-sparring regimen, Ilia Topuria is known to train five days a week. Nevertheless, most fighters resort to training full-time only when they have a fight coming up.

But Strickland's case stands as an exception, as he returned to training full-time without Dana White  publicly confirming his next fight. The reigning middleweight champion shared an Instagram post a few hours ago mentioning, "Feels good to be back to full training!

The scenario becomes even more interesting considering the comments of the No. 3-ranked middleweight contender, Nassourdine Imavov. With a five-fight winning streak, Imavov has emerged as the most deserving contender for the next middleweight title shot, as former middleweight champ Khamzat Chimaev also backed his case.

Imavov graced the Accor Arena to enjoy UFC Paris from the audience seats on September 5, where he spoke to RMC Sports and confirmed two major factors about his next fight. 'The Sniper' said, "I know the date for my next fight, and it is for the title."

Imavov's revelation clarifies that Strickland will find him standing across the octagon the next time he steps into it. However, the French fighter's words about knowing the date of his next fight imply that Strickland also knows when his next fight is scheduled for.

Given the level of confidentiality maintained by the UFC regarding their upcoming events, neither Strickland nor Imavov will be able to reveal the date of their encounter until Dana White announces it himself. Strickland's return to training full-time, however, appears to be a justified move considering the current scenario.
