Sharabutdin Magomedov becomes latest UFC fighter to join RAF

Real American Freestyle continues to strengthen its roster with UFC talent. On Friday, the promotion announced the signing of middleweight contender Sharabutdin Magomedov, making the Russian the latest active UFC fighter to join the freestyle wrestling organization. For now, there is no date or opponent set for "Shara Bullet" to make his RAF debut.

RAF Continues to Attract Prominent UFC Fighters

Just over a year after its launch, RAF continues to attract prominent UFC talent. Sharabutdin Magomedov joins a growing list of former UFC champions and top contenders, including Henry Cejudo, Merab Dvalishvili, Khamzat Chimaev and Belal Muhammad. The promotion has also featured names such as Arman Tsarukyan, Colby Covington, Ben Askren and Urijah Faber in its events.

Sharabutdin Magomedov Remains Active in UFC

Sharabutdin Magomedov also enters the promotion with momentum. Since making his UFC debut in October 2023, the Russian has suffered only one defeat, the lone loss of his professional MMA career. After winning his first four UFC fights, including victories over Michal Oleksiejczuk and Armen Petrosyan, he dropped a unanimous decision to Michael Page.

Just over five months later, Magomedov returned to the Octagon and bounced back with a victory over Marc-André Barriault. Last June, he fought again and defeated Michel Pereira by unanimous decision.

While Magomedov is expected to remain active in the UFC, his signing represents another step in RAF's strategy of bringing established MMA fighters into freestyle wrestling. The promotion has yet to announce when the Russian will make his promotional debut.
