Shi Ming questions UFC-decision making as the strawweight hypes up her upcoming fight

Strawweight sensation Shi Ming has taken to social media to talk up her Friday headliner, while openly questioning the UFC's decision regarding her current career trajectory.
Shi Ming recently popped up on Instagram with a video revealing the next step of her journey in the UFC, while asking the promotion about the logic behind their booking. Specifically, she has questioned the UFC's decision to feature her on yet another Road to UFC event, which takes place this Friday on May 29.
Shi Ming raises concerns about the UFC's booking
This Friday, Shi Ming (17-5) headlines Road to UFC: Macau Day 2, facing India's Puja Tomar (9-5) in a three-round bout at strawweight. Ahead of the fight, Shi announced the matchup with an Instagram post, but is also perplexed by the UFC's decision to book her for a fourth Road to UFC fight, as opposed to finally booking her for a numbered or Fight Night card.
"Hello! Got fight announcements. I will be fighting at the end of this month in Macau. Super excited! This time, I have the questionable honor of breaking the world record for the most Road to UFC fights. Awkward. I don't know what's going on with the UFC, but it's like Groundhog Day all over again. Anyway, I heard my opponent is from India, so I'm just imagining Dangal vs. Chinese kung fu movies. It's gonna be funny. You know, Amir Khan vs. Jack Chan. Let's go!"

Both Shi and Tomar are coming off losses, with Shi having suffered a unanimous decision loss to Bruna Brasil on home soil at Road to UFC: Shanghai. Meanwhile, Tomar was submitted by an armbar in round two at UFC Fight Night 255. Shi had previously authored a five-fight win streak, but went viral after knocking out Xiaocan Feng with a brutal third-round head kick at UFC Fight Night 248. The kick, which knocked Xiaocan out cold, required medical intervention, as her opponent was stretchered out of the octagon in a distressing scene.
On a more humorous note, however, Shi was previously revealed to be a doctor, whose own parents were unaware of her MMA career. She will hope to return to winning ways on Friday and continue her climb out of the unranked depths of the strawweight division.
