Stephen Bonnar made it clear leading up to UFC 153 that retirement was on his mind, and after a valiant effort against Anderson Silva, considered the greatest fighter in the sport’s history, Bonnar has called it a career.

“The American Psycho” went 15-8 in his career, with his most prominent bout coming in The Ultimate Fighter 1 finale against Forrest Griffin. Bonnar also had notable bouts against Lyoto Machida, Rashad Evans, a young Jon Jones, and the previously mentioned Silva.

Bonnar went 3-1 to end his career, and has no doubt left a memorable legacy. MMASucka would like to thank Bonnar for his contribution to mixed martial arts and wish him the best in his post-UFC career.
