Ovince St. Preux is set to take on Gian Villante at the April UFC event in New Jersey.
UFC officials announced the recent match-up on Friday.
St. Preux (12-5) most recently defeated T.J. Cook at Strikeforce’s August event. He went 6-1 under the Strikeforce banner, with his lone loss coming at the hands of Gegard Mousasi.
Villante (10-3) is riding a three fight winning streak, with his most recent victory coming over Derrick Mehmen this past May. He went 3-2 in Strikeforce and his two losses came against Chad Griggs and Lorenz Larkin.
UFC 159 is set to go down from the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. The main event is for the UFC light heavyweight championship, as TUF 17 coaches Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen square off.
