On July 7, Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen will step into the octagon for a second time at UFC 148. The fight will go down live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Their first encounter was at UFC 117 and Chael Sonnen completely dominated the champion until the fifth round. With Silva on his back he threw up a triangle choke and forced the challenger, Sonnen, to tap.
It was announced following the fight that Anderson was fighting with an injured rib. Was this the reason that Chael out-struck him 320-64.
