Watch: Sean King III’s brutal slam knockout in UFC debut against Jesse Rosas at UFC Noche

Sean King III, in his debut UFC fight, delivered arguably one of the best knockouts of the year at UFC Noche. He took on Jesse Rosas, the elder brother of UFC bantamweight Raul Rosas Jr., at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, on September 12.

King accepted the fight against Jesse on nine days' notice. The featherweight bout between them opened the event, as it was the first fight of the night. The fight didn't last a single minute as the debutant made quick work inside the octagon.

King ducked a jab and attempted a takedown. During the attempt, he picked Jesse up and viciously slammed him to the canvas, instantly shutting off ‘Tachidito’s lights and leaving him unconscious. ‘The King of New Orleans’ then followed up with three or four brutal ground-and-pound shots before the referee intervened and stopped the fight.

With the impressive victory, King extended his professional record to 7 wins. He remains undefeated in his career. Jesse, who was also making his UFC debut, suffered his career's second defeat and now holds a record of 8 wins and 2 losses. 

After his incredible knockout victory, it will be interesting to see who the UFC will put him against. That said, King already has a name he wants to challenge in his next UFC outing.  

Sean King III reveals who he wants to face next after UFC debut

In his octagon interview. He expressed his desire to fight Ramiro Jimenez, against whom he was in talks to fight at this event, but the fight didn't get signed. 

“Look, I'm 7-0 now. I'm only 22 years old. I'm here to keep getting better. I was supposed to fight Ramiro Jimenez. He went running. If the UFC wants to make that fight next, we'll make it happen,” King said.

King then took a moment to thank his supporters and the UFC, specifically Sean Shelby, for allowing him to compete on the biggest stage in MMA.

“But look, all my people, I love y'all. None of this is possible without God. Jesus Christ is number one. And thank each and every one of y'all. Thank the UFC, Sean Shelby, for bringing me in,” King added.
