Norman Parke faces Lukasz Chlewicki at KSW 43

“Stormin'” Norman Parke returns following a pair of title fights vs. Mateusz Gamrot in 2017. He faces Polish veteran Lukasz Chlewicki at KSW 43 in Wroclaw.

Parke (23-6-1, 1NC) made his KSW debut at the monumental KSW 39 Colosseum show in front of a near 58,000. He took on lightweight champion Mateusz Gamrot. After a controversy-riddled but hard-fought contest, Gamrot took the nod on the judges’ scorecards.

An immediate rematch was made for KSW 40 in Dublin. The fight was stopped after Parke sustained an eye injury following an eye poke. So, yet again, the bout ended in controversy. Prior to the KSW signing, Parke won the BAMMA lightweight belt by defeating Paul Redmond in February of last year.

Lukasz “Sasza” Chlewicki (14-7-1) is a hard-nosed Pole who has recently gone on the worst skid of his 22-fight career. Fighting exclusively for KSW since 2014, Chlewicki has lost three-straight in the ten-month span between December 2016 and October 2017.

To his credit, the losses came against stiff competition. Following two-straight wins, Chlewicki was stopped by former M-1 Global champion and current $1 million ROAD FC tournament semi-finalist Mansour Barnoui. In April of 2017, Chlewicki made the brief move to featherweight and was quickly submitted by former champion Artur Sowinski. He last fought at KSW 40 – much like Parke. Returning to lightweight, he lost a narrow split decision to Paul Redmond.

KSW 43 takes place at the beautiful Hala Stulecia in Wroclaw, Poland on April 14.

As previously announced, the main event will feature Wroclaw’s Olympic hero Damian Janikowski as he takes on Yannick Bahati. Artur Sowinski returns to action against French phenom Salhdine Parnasse. Also, featured on the card will be two title fights.

Michal Andryszak faces Phil De Fries for the vacant heavyweight title, while newly-crowned welterweight champion Roberto Soldic faces two-division EFC title-holder Dricus Du Plessis.
