Submission Underground 11 Results

Chael Sonnen and Submission Underground are back to bring you one of the top grappling cards of 2020, SUG11. With numerous combat sports superstars on the card, fight fans will certainly get their money’s worth. Headlining the card will be Craig Jones and Nick Rodriguez taking on Vinny Magalhaes and Kyle Boehm in a tag team jiu-jitsu match. The co-main event has 10th Planet blackbelt Richie Martinez taking on former Strikeforce middleweight champion Jake Shields.

Submission Underground 11 was originally supposed to include Gordon Ryan. Chael Sonnen put out a $25,000 challenge for two men that could beat Gordon Ryan and Craig Jones. It didn’t take long to find challengers. Kyle Boehm and Vinny Magalhaes stepped up right away. Unfortunately, Ryan had to pull out of the competition, leaving Jones without a partner but Nick Rodriguez stepped up right away to fill in.

Other notable names on the card include 10th Planet Coquitlam blackbelt Micah Brakefield stepping in to take on Bellator fighter Austin Vanderford. A couple of UFC fighters will step into the SUG cage as Mike Perry will take on Al Iaquinta. Even Perry’s wife Danielle Perry is in on the action as she is taking on Samantha Bonilla. Danaher Death Squad member Frank Rosenthal will also be fighting as he is matched up against Brent Smith on the undercard.
