Titan FC 66 Results

MMA Sucka has you covered for Titan FC 66 results. Titan FC 66 takes place tonight at 5 PM PST. The event looks to be quite interesting and is available on Fight Pass. MMA Sucka produced a preview of this event days ago, it can be seen here.

In the main event of the evening, Jeremie Holloway will take on Bruno Assis in a Middleweight clash. Holloway, 10-4 as a professional and enters this fight having won two of three previous fights. He was stopped by Khaos Williams, who is currently in the UFC, in his last fight.

Facing Holloway will be Bruno Assis. Assis brings his 9-5 record to the cage and enters this fight having lost three of four fights. In a previous fight, he was stopped in one round by UFC star Paulo Costa. He’s a good fighter who is better than his recent performances would indicate.

Co-Main event down the drain…

Kayla Harrison was supposed to take on Jozette Cotton in the co-main event. However, that fight has been scrapped, after Cotton was taken to the hospital due to dehydration. While attempting to make 155 pounds, Cotton was unable to get below 180 pounds.

Kayla Harrison is 8-0 and is one of the stars on the rise in MMA. Harrison recently competed in Invicta FC where she stopped Courtney King in the second round of their fight last month. Losing her on one day’s notice is not good at all for Titan Fights. We do however wish Jozette Cotton all the best in her recovery.

Moving up into the co-main slot will now be Juan Puerta taking on Joe Penafiel. Puerta has a massive advantage in experience with 26 fights under his belt as a professional. To contract that Joe Penafiel only has six fights to his credit. He has a 5-1 record as a pro. Puerta is 20-6 and has a nine-fight winning streak.

Titan FC 66 Results- Main Card

Bruno Assis def. Jeremie Holloway via Sub (Armbar) at 1:53 of Round 1

Recap: Lots of action in the first round. Assis landed a nice high kick, a combo, and takedown. He immediately advanced to full mount and secured an armbar, forcing the early tap. Really strong performance by Bruno Assis.

Juan Puerta def. Joe Penafiel via Unanimous Decision (29-28 x 3)

Recap: Both fighters bounced around a bit in the first round trying to find their range. Puerta landed some damaging leg kicks, which were the most impactful moments of the round. 10-9 for Puerta.

There was a little more grappling in the second round, but for the most part, it was once again controlled by Puerta who landed a few jabs and a host of leg kicks. Penafiel opted to showboat and taunt rather than fight. Doesn’t score points. 10-9 for Puerta.

Penafiel landed a solid combination that hurt Puerta in the third. He immediately took Puerta down and it allowed Puerta to recover and get his legs back under him. Puerta came out in top position after a scramble but Penafiel escaped to his feet. Puerta stayed on the canvas and Penafiel followed him back down but didn’t land anything. Penafiel did enough to win the round, but not the fight, on my card.

Dilano Taylor def. Michael Cora via Sub (Ezekial Choke) at 2:09 of Round 1

Recap: A very slick submission, very well pulled off. This isn’t a submission you see all the time. Very impressive win for Taylor.
