UFC 171: Tyron Woodley finished Carlos Condit in the second round

The co-main event was a battle in the welterweight division, as Carlos Condit took on Tyron Woodley.

Woodley landed two flush right hands, but Condit didn’t budge. A missed spinning back-kick by Condit, hand Woodley clinch and look for the takedown. Off the break, Condit pushed forward with a number of combinations. Woodley was able to take the fight to the mat with a minute and a half left. Condit attempted a triangle, but Woodley picked him up and slammed him down off of him. With just over thirty seconds left, Woodley took Condit down again.

Woodley took Condit down early in the second round, but was unable to do much damage. Woodley threw a strong leg kick after the two stood up and Condit winced in pain. The referee jumped in and called a stoppage to the fight.

Woodley (13-2) is now on a two-fight winning streak and 3-1 inside the UFC Octagon.
