UFC 298 Results: Volkanovski vs. Topuria

The UFC returns to Anaheim.

Main Event

Featherweight gold is on the line in the UFC 298 main event as defending champion Alexander Volkanovski meets Ilia Topuria. Volkanovski enters his sixth title defense after falling to Islam Makhachev on short-notice at UFC 294 whereas the undefeated Topuria, this is his first title fight.

‘El Matador’ rides an impressive six-fight win streak in the UFC. He’ll look to boost that to seven in another attempt to steal the belt from Volkanovski, but this time for good. For more on the headliner, read here

Co-Main Event

A pair of middleweights will finally collide in the co-headliner. Former champion Robert Whittaker runs into powerhouse Paulo Costa in a potential title eliminator. Whittaker tries to rebound from a loss to current champ Dricus Du Plessis while Costa looks to build off a grueling win over Luke Rockhold at UFC 278.

Also On The Card:

Geoff Neal and Ian Garry will settle the score in their welterweight matchup and a win here would launch one man further into the top 10 rankings. At bantamweight, former champ Henry Cejudo aims for another title run, but Merab Dvalishvili stands in his way, who looks for his very own title shot.

All the action takes place from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
