UFC-Bellator One Night Co-Promotion Event

In the past, we have witnessed Bellator co-promote events with ONE Championship. Which only raises the question, what would happen if the UFC and Bellator agreed to co-promote an event. Today we will discuss what we believe that event would look like.

 UFC And Bellator Champions

The constant competition between Bellator and the UFC raises the question, Which promotion has better fighters. The best way to decide would be to have the champions of each promotion fight each other. This could include fights such as:

  • Cris Cyborg vs. Amanda Nunes II
  • Douglas Lima vs. Kamaru Usman
  • Ryan Bader vs. Jon Jones II (Assuming Jones is still the champion)
  • Ilima Macfarlane vs. Valentina Shevchenko
  • Patricio Pitbull vs. Alexander Volkanovski

Record-Breaking Event

If Bellator and the UFC did co-promote an event it wouldn’t be the first time two promotions came together, and it also wouldn’t be the first time the UFC co-promoted with someone else. The event would still manage to break a pretty big record. Most title fights on one card. While this would be a logistical nightmare, holding up five weight classes in two promotions it would still make for incredible PPV numbers. For years the UFC has also talked about doing an event where the Dallas Cowboys play, AT&T Stadium. Imagine if they did this co-promoted event at Cowboy stadium, it would be the biggest MMA event ever to date.

The Undercard

While most of the attention would be on the main card if the UFC and Bellator decided to mix and match the prelims they have some great matchups available. Picture the possibilities of fights such as:

Some of these fighters were just destined to fight someday and it really is a shame that they probably won’t ever meet due to being signed by different promotions. What are some fights that you believe should be on a Bellator-UFC co-promoted card? Let us know in the comments down below.
