Who’s Number One Results

Who’s Number One results will be found here live as the event unfolds. Who’s Number One is back with another stellar card consisting of some of the best grapplers on the planet. If you’re a fan of grappling, this event is not to be missed! The show starts at 5 PM PST and we will be covering it giving you match results and key match recaps.

Who’s Number One Results

This is a grappler’s paradise and if you can’t watch the action as it unfolds, then keep your browser pointed here for results and some recaps. In the main event, Craig Jones will be competing against Ronaldo Junior. It should be a really competitive match. Jones is a former SUG champion but lost a pair of fights to Mason Fowler. He’s no doubt one of the best grapplers on earth.

The co-main event is a 30-minute heavyweight clash between Gordon Ryan and Roberto Jimenez. It’s safe to say that Gordan Ryan is one of the most famous and well-known grapplers and anytime he competes, you’re going to want to watch. He and Craig Jones both had Covid 19 in 2020 so it’s great to see them both back on the mat.

The ridiculously strong Gabi Garcia is also on this card, and she’ll be grappling Nathiely De Jesus. Anytime Gabi Garcia is on the mat, anything can happen and this should be no exception. De Jesus is a multiple-time world champion, a Pan Am champion, an Abu Dhabi champion. She’s a very decorated black belt and will offer up a really tough test for Garcia.

Who’s Number One Results – Main Card

Craig Jones def. Ronaldo Junior via Sub (Inside Heel-hook)

Recap: Good action as the match began. Jones worked from the bottom and Junior tried to get control from the top. Jones went for the legs and a scramble followed and both men got to their feet. Jones once again opted to work from the bottom. Jones went after a leglock and took Ronaldo Junior to the mat. Jones slowly set up the submission and secured the inside heel-hook. Junior quickly tapped and that’s a wrap.

Gordon Ryan def. Roberto Jimenez via Sub (Mounted Armbar)

Recap: Roberto Jimenez is a very skilled grappler, but he’s in a position where a single mistake likely costs him the match. Ryan maintained the top position in the early going. Gordon continued to control from the top, and he easily passed the guard into the mount. Jimenez worked super hard to get from under the mount, but Ryan immediately passed right back to mount and is started looking for submissions.  Gordon Ryan sets it up and goes for the straight armbar. Jimenez rolled through and escaped!

Ten minutes into the special thirty-minute match and this was still competitive. Some incredible sweeps and grappling exchanges and Ryan was once again in the mount position. Ryan again goes for the armbar and secures it. He called his shot. He said he’d win via mounted armbar on Instagram, and that’s exactly how it went down. Gordon said that he broke Jimenez’s arm, ouch.

Nathiely De Jesus def. Gabi Garcia via Judges Decision

Recap: This was the most exciting grappling match of the evening so far. Gabi utilized her size and strength to power out of positions and maintain top control. Both fighters exchanged leg lock attempts and De Jesus did a tremendous job defending and actually attempting her own submissions.

It appeared about halfway in that Garcia and De Jesus were beginning to tire.  De Jesus was able to transition and take the back. She got her hooks in and actually flattened Garcia out, but Garcia worked her way out and back to the top. This was a close, competitive fight.
