WNO: Craig Jones vs Pedro Marinho Results

Who’s Number One returns to action tonight with a stacked card, featuring three title bouts and some of the world’s top grapplers throughout. It all goes down live from the Sports Academy at the Star, the home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys training facility, in Frisco, Texas.

At the top of the card is the ever-active Aussie Craig Jones, who looks to get the year off on the right foot after ending last year by dropping a surprise decision to Sean Brady at Fury Pro Grappling 3. His opponent is Pedro Marinho, a Submission Underground vet and the reigning IBJJF No-Gi Openweight and Heavyweight World Champion. This matchup is sure to be fireworks, with the winner leaving with the WNO Light Heavyweight Championship.

The co-main event is for the WNO Welterweight Championship, as young phenom Tye Ruotolo battles 24-year-old Australian Levi Jones-Leary. Ruotolo captured the 2021 WNO Middleweight Championship back in September and will look to continue that momentum against Jones-Leary, who has only lost once in 17 professional grappling outings.

At heavyweight, dominant wrestler-turned-grappler Nick Rodriguez faces Elder Cruz after defeating Bellator contender Steve Mowry at Fury Pro Grappling 3 his last time out. Meanwhile, CJJ Worlds and Medusa champion Brianna Ste-Marie returns to WNO against the decorated Amanda “Tubby” Alequin. The 2021 IBJJF Pan-Am No-Gi purple belt champion Jacob Couch is set to face David Garmo at light heavyweight as well. The main card is kicked off by a title match, as Mikey Musumeci defends his WNO Bantamweight Championship against the always-game Estevan Martinez.

The preliminary card is headlined by Alexa Yanes, who recently upset Danielle Kelly in a superfight at the UFC Fight Pass Invitational, and Jessica Crane, who looks to snap a three-match skid.

MMA Sucka has fight fans covered with WNO: Craig Jones vs Pedro Marinho Results, with the card starting at 8pm ET/5pm PT on FloGrappling.
