After that, Schaub would have his way with Mitrione, transitioning and looking to set up a submission. Schaub was able to move into a dominant position and slid the arm in. Once that happened, Mitrione’s time in the octagon was short lived. Once Schaub was able to lock in the second arm and choke him, Mitrione had no chance of recovering. Schaub was able to score the d’arce choke submission victory in just the first round.
