UFC lightweights Rustam Khabilov and Danny Castillo were supposed to meet earlier this year at UFC 182, but Khabilov was forced out of the bout due to Visa injuries.  Their bout has been rescheduled for later this summer at UFC on FOX 16.

UFC officials announced the matchup on Wednesday following a report on FOXSports.com.

Khabilov (17-3) most recent win came against Jorge Masvidal in 2013, and since then has found no success.  Last June, he dropped a stoppage loss to former champion Benson Henderson and then went on to lose a close decision to Adriano Martins earlier this year.

Castillo (17-8) is also riding a two-fight losing streak since knocking Charlie Brenneman out at UFC 172 just under a year ago.  Since then, he has suffered a close decision loss to rising star Tony Ferguson and a knockout loss to prospect Paul Felder.

The card placement for the bout is unknown at this time.

UFC on FOX 16 takes place live from the United Center in Chicago, IL on July 25.  In the main event, bantamweight champ T.J. Dillashaw defends his belt against Renan Barao.
