Sam Stout Says Autopsy Showed Shawn Tompkins Died Of Heart Attack

It was announced Sunday afternoon that renowned mixed martial arts trainer Shawn Tompkins had passed away in his sleep. It was unknown as to what caused Tompkins death, well that is until today.

Tompkins brother in-law, UFC Fighter Sam Stout spoke with The London Free Press on Monday and spoke about the autopsy results.

“I don’t know what to say,” Stout says. “It’s not supposed to be happen to a healthy 37-year-old person. Who would think he had to get checked out for that?”

Stout also said funeral arrangements will be made today. Stout is the brother of Emilie Tompkins, Tompkins wife.

No only has a memorial fund been set up, but also an online guest book.

The Tompkins family extends their deepest gratitude to friends and fans for their support, and asks that their privacy be respected during this very difficult time. Those wishing to express their sympathies to the Tompkins family may do so at a special Shawn Tompkins guestbook.
