A lightweight bout between Al Iaquinta and Joe Lauzon is set for UFC 183 in Las Vegas over Super Bowl weekend.

UFC officials announced the match-up on Wednesday.

Iaquinta (10-3-1) is riding a two-fight winning streak. Most recently the Serra-Longo Fight Team product picked up a giant TKO victory over Ross Pearson at UFC Fight Night 55 in November. Since his loss in The Ultimate Fighter Finale, Iaquinta has gone 5-1.

Lauzon (24-9) is also riding a two-fight winning streak. After losing two in a row, he started off this streak in December 2013 with a decision win against Mac Danzig. Most recently he finished Michael Chiesa due to doctor’s stoppage at UFC Fight Night 50 in September. Lauzon was expected to take on Diego Sanchez at UFC 180, however he was forced out of the match due to injury.

The Iaquinta vs. Lauzon fight will likely take place on the main card of the UFC 183 fight card.

UFC 183 takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Jan. 31, 2015.  The event is headlined by the highly anticipated middleweight matchup between former champ Anderson Silva and Nick Diaz, and is expected to air live on pay-per-view with prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
