A number of rumors were circulating on Thursday that UFC veteran Corey Hill had passed away. According to MMAJunkie.com, Hill’s manager Patrick Reynolds confirmed the passing of his client on Friday afternoon.
The cause of death was a collapsed lung and a heart attack.

Earlier in the week Hill was taken to hospital a bad case of bronchitis. Matters got worse when doctor’s found a cyst in his lung that required surgery. Just days after refusing a ventilator was when Hill suffered a heart attack and collapsed lung.
Hill (6-9) was most well-known for his stint on season five of The Ultimate Fighter. At the first ‘Fight for the Troops’ event in 2008, Hill suffered one of the worst broken legs inside the Octagon, when Dale Hartt checked a leg kick.
The last time Hill stepped inside the cage was in February when he was stopped at the end of the first round by Jose Caceres at Fight Time 23 “Mayhem in Miami.”
