British Columbia’s own Jeremy “JBC” Kennedy makes the move back down to featherweight and on short notice yet again. He will make the trek to Manchester, England to fight Mirsad Bektic at UFC 204 next weekend.
Jeremy Kennedy takes on Mirsad Bektic at UFC 204
MMAJunkie.com was first to report that Kennedy would be replacing Arnold Allen.
Kennedy (9-0) made his Octagon debut in August at UFC on FOX 21 where he impressed against Alex Ricci. “JBC” always knew he would want to fight at featherweight and that would be the plan if he were to pick up his debut victory.
Bektic (10-0) has gone 3-0 inside the Octagon with wins over Chas Skelly, Paul Redmond and most recently a knockout win over Lucas Martins. Bektic has been out of action for over a year and will look to return with a bang at UFC 204.
UFC 204 goes down on October 8 from Manchester, England. The Kennedy vs. Bektic bout will serve as the opening bout on pay-per-view.
