UFC Fight Night 136 Walkout Songs

UFC Fight Night 136 is going down this Saturday! The event will happen live at the Olimpisky Arena in Moscow, Russia. In the main event, heavyweight smashing machine Mark Hunt squares off with ezekiel choke master Alexey Oleynik. As with many UFC events though, there are a lot of fighters who will need help selecting more memorable, on-brand entrances. As MMASucka.com’s resident musicologist, I can offer suggestions that will help fighters further stand out from the pack with their UFC Fight Night 128 walkout songs. I’m even posting them here for you, the discerning fans’, consideration. So, without further ado, here… We… Go!

Jordan Johnson

What he last walked out to: “I Don’t Wanna Know (Instrumental)” – Mario Winans

What he should walk out to next: “Lippincott” – Animals as Leaders

A solid instrumental is seldom a bad choice for a walkout song, as long as it has some movement to it. Unfortunately for Jordan Johnson, the instrumental version of Mario Winans’ “I Don’t Wanna Know” doesn’t have a  lot of rise and fall to it, especially not for the first nearly two minutes. No, an instrumental with some punch is necessary. A track that keeps the uplifting vibe and solid beats, but has the necessary internal motion is “Lippincott” from instrumetallists Animals as Leaders. You can hear that below.

Terrion Ware

What she last walked out to: “God’s Plan” – Drake

What she should walk out to next: “The Order” – DJ Premier feat. Apathy

The Drake curse struck again at UFC Fight Night 127 when Terrion Ware lost his third straight to Tom Duquesnoy. In fact, the Drake Curse is fast supplanting the fabled Eminem Curse as the most ill-fated choice of walkout music, but I digress. So what does that mean? It means if Ware wants to make the most of his fourth chance, he needs to switch it up. Something a little more hard hitting, a little more serious, a little more violent… That something would be DJ Premier and Apathy’s “The Order.” You can hear it below.
