Nate Diaz posted on Twitter that he is apparently out of his UFC 244 bout with Jorge Masvidal due to a potential failed test. Diaz, who has always prided himself on not cheating, is saying that USADA thinks the failed tests are due to tainted supplements. He doesn’t understand how that could be, though, as he says he doesn’t take any supplements that could be tainted. You can find the full statement below. *Warning: the post contains explicit language.*

Nate Diaz Potentially out of UFC 244 Main Event

“I’m not gonna make it out to NYC for fight week next week because they say I tested with elevated levels that they say might be from some tainted supplements. I call false on that cause I only take Whole Foods or natural food supplements. I don’t even eat meat. So, until UFC, USADA, or whoever is f***ing with me fixes it, I won’t be competing. I’m not gonna play their game and try and hide it or keep (quiet), as they suggested. I’m not gonna have my name tainted as a cheater like these other motherf*****s who keep quiet until after the fight  just so that they can get paid. F***in cheaters. I don’t give a f*** about some money over my dignity and my legacy. I’m not playing along with this bulls***. I’m not staying quiet and figuring it out after the fight. That’s cheating. So fight game I’ll see you when I see you. Sincerely, the real baddest mother f***** in the game.”

The last line of the post is a reference to the “BMF” belt that Diaz was supposed to be fighting Masvidal for.

At this point, the UFC has not made any official comment on the matter. As we all know, they usually are hesitant to have a pay-per-view card that isn’t headlined by a title fight. Now, with this fight for the fake belt apparently off, it’s hard to say whether or not the event will take place at all. Hopefully, Diaz is just being Diaz and we don’t have to miss out on an event filled with so many fun fights. But, his image as being clean is something Diaz has always taken seriously, so don’t be surprised if he’s being serious here.
