Professional wrestler Jake Hager is set to make his return to MMA. It was announced by MMA Junkie that the All Elite Wrestling superstar will be fighting at Bellator 250 against Brandon Calton.

Jake Hager to Return at Bellator 250

The last time we saw Jake Hager in MMA action was at Bellator 231 almost a year ago. At that event, Hager fought to a no-contest after accidentally landing a groin strike on his opponent. When Anthony Garrett couldn’t continue, the fight was ruled a no contest. It pushed Hager’s professional MMA record to 2-0-1.

Prior to that fight, Hager was 2-0 in his MMA career with both wins coming in Bellator. He debuted at Bellator 214 in January 2019, where he submitted J.W. Kiser in the first round via an arm-triangle. Hager followed up his successful debut with another first round arm-triangle victory, this one coming over T.J. Jones at Bellator 221 in May 2019. A former All-American at the University of Oklahoma, it’s no surprise that Hager has done his best work on the ground in his fights.

Across from Hager at Bellator 250 will be 40-year old Brandon Calton. He enters this fight with a 2-0 professional MMA record, with both wins coming in the past four months. While there isn’t much information available on Calton, it appears he will enter this fight at a major disadvantage in the athleticism department. We know how Bellator likes to handle their inexperienced, marketable fighters, so expect Hager to be a big favorite in this fight.
