Quintet returns for the first time in 2020 for Quintet Fight Night 5 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Quintet is a unique and exciting team grappling event. Two men from each team will grapple with the winner staying on the mat to face another member of the other team. In the event of a draw, where no submission is completed after eight minutes (or four if there is a 10kg weight difference between opponents), both grapplers are eliminated. The winning team is the team with grapplers remaining. Quintet Fight Night 5 is a lightweight competition, where each team’s combined weight across five grapplers must be under 360kg, or approximately 794 pounds.

This event’s teams feature some of Japan’s most famed grapplers and MMA fighters, including former UFC lightweight title challenger Caol Uno, Hideo Tokoro, Masakazu Imanari, Masanori Kanehara, and others. The event will feature two special matches as well, headlined by Quintet founder and UFC Hall of Famer Kazushi Sakuraba, as he faces Takashi Sugiura.

Quintet Fight Night 5 can be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass starting at 4 AM EST/1 AM PST. Keep it locked to MMASucka for Quintet Fight Night 5 results and updates all morning long.
