This weekend’s main event features a top four bantamweight match up as MMASucka provides all of the UFC Vegas 27 results. In the main event, Rob Font faces a tough opponent as he takes on former bantamweight champion Cody Gabrandt. Entering the fight, Font has won his last three straight. The first two wins on that streak included 2018 and 2019 unanimous decision wins over Sergio Pettis and Ricky Simon. In his most recent fight, he finished Marlon Moraes by first round TKO at UFC Vegas 17. Winning his fourth straight over a former champion would surely put Font’s name in the title mix.

As for Garbrandt, he enters the fight with a 1-3 record in his last four fights. After starting his career 11-0 and winning the title, Garbrandt would lose it against TJ Dillashaw. He lost two straight fights against Dillashaw during their rivalry, losing both times by TKO. Following those fights, Garbrandt would lose a third straight fight by TKO as he was defeated by Pedro Munhoz at UFC 235. In his most recent fight, Garbrandt finally snapped his losing streak with a knockout win over Raphael Assuncao at UFC 250.

In the night’s co-main event, the third and fourth ranked strawweight fighters face off. Coming off a six fight win streak, entering the fight with a 13-1, 1NC record is Yan Xiaonan. She will be facing off against former UFC strawweight champion Carla Esparza.

Xiaonan is undefeated since entering the UFC, winning all six of those fights by unanimous decision. She has picked up her most notable wins in her last three outings with wins over Angela HillKarolina Kowalkiewicz and Claudia Gadelha. Much like Font in the main event, Xiaonan is also in a perfect position to put her name in the title picture with a win over a former champion to extend her win streak.

Esparza, however, has also been very good as of late as she enters the fight on a four fight win streak. All four of those wins have been by some kind of decision as she defeated Virna JandirobaAlexa GrassoMichelle Waterson, and most recently, Marina Rodriguez. She will also be looking to put her name in the title conversation with a win over Xiaonan.
