An incredible lineup of fights is in store tonight for our MMASucka staff picks. UFC Vegas 29, also titled UFC on ESPN 25, will take place this evening, June 19 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main card will kick off at 7:00pm ET (4:00pm PT) live on ESPN.

Check out our staff picks from Thursday’s PFL 5 2021, our first event from this week.

UFC Vegas 29 Fights

A main event to remember could be in store between top-ranked, featherweight talents Chan Sung Jung and Dan Ige.

Sung Jung will make his tenth UFC appearance tonight in his 23rd mixed martial arts bout. The former title challenger has put together some of the most memorable bouts in history, dating back to his 2010 pairing with Leonard Garcia and 2012 victory of Dustin Poirier. Sung Jung looks to return in a big way, dropping all five rounds in a decision loss to Brian Ortega last October.

His opponent, Ige, has captured the eyes of many since his octagon debut at the beginning of 2018. The Hawaiian has only faced defeat twice in the promotion, a stretch of six-straight wins being snapped last year versus Calvin Kattar. Ige targets a fast climb up the 145-pound ladder, most recently ending Gavin Tucker’s night with a 22-second knockout in March.

Veteran will take on youth in the co-main event as Aleksei Oleinik and Sergey Spivak meet in the heavyweight division. 43-year-old Oleinik will fight in MMA for the 76th time looking to snap a two-fight knockout skid. 26-year-old Spivak hopes for a third-straight win, lastly defeating Contender Series standout Jared Vanderaa.

Throughout the calendar year, staff picks will be composed of main card fights from UFC and Bellator events and a variety of fights from PFL MMA. Dana White’s Contender Series will make its debut in the summer months.

The WINNER of staff picks in 2021 will have a choice between receiving a custom-made championship belt from ProAmBelts or chain from Championship Chains. For the third straight year, Michael DeSantis captured the 2020 victory compiling a record of 201-88.
