Bellator makes its maiden voyage into Russia today with Bellator 269, and some of Russia’s top fighters are featured.

In the main event, legendary former PRIDE FC and Strikeforce fighter Fedor Emelianenko returns to action for the first time in nearly two years when he fights recent Bellator interim heavyweight title challenger Tim Johnson. At 45 years old, “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko fights in front of his home country’s fans in the twilight of his career today against Johnson, who has won three of his last four fights in a career resurgence of sorts.

Former Bellator heavyweight champion Vitaly Minakov continues his journey to recapture the belt he never lost in the co-main event, but eighth-ranked Said Sowma will be standing in his way. Minakov most recently fought over two years ago, defeating the aforementioned Tim Johnson by KO to rebound from his first career loss. He will face former Titan FC heavyweight champion Sowma, who picked up his biggest win to date at Bellator 262 with a KO win over Ronny Markes.

The infamous Nurmagomedov family will also make an appearance, as fast-rising lightweight contender Usman Nurmagomedov looks to continue his dominant 12-fight unbeaten streak to start his career as he takes on Finnish Patrik Pietila, who returns to the cage hoping for a career rejuvenation after two years away from competition on the heels of a 3-3 run.

To kick off the main card, middleweight contender and Emelianenko protege Anatoly Tokov fights for the first time in over two years against Tajikistan’s Sharaf Davlatmuradov. Tokov is 5-0 in his Bellator career, and a win could cement his place as one of the top potential title challengers for Gegard Mousasi‘s middleweight belt. “Wolfhound” Davlatmuradov is riding a six-fight winning streak into his Bellator debut.

The Bellator 269 preliminary card is also loaded with recognizable names, including “Baby Fedor” Kirill Sidelnikov, SBG Ireland’s “The Pikeman” Brian Moore, former Cage Warriors title challenger Aiden Lee, and Darina Mazdyuk, who comes to Bellator after beating a 529-pound man in her last fight.

MMA Sucka has fight fans covered with Bellator 269 Results, with the preliminary card starting at 12:30pm ET/9:30am PT on Bellator’s YouTube page, followed by the main card at 3:00pm ET/12:00pm PT on Showtime.
