Abu Dhabi plays host to UFC 267 on Saturday, October 30, and the country of Poland has a number of fighters on the card that are ready to deliver.

Poland Invades Abu Dhabi at UFC 267

The main event at UFC 267 features a battle for the UFC light heavyweight championship, as the pride of Poland, UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz takes on Glover Teixeira.

Jan Błachowicz vs Glover Teixeira

Blachowicz (28-8) came into the UFC with a 17-3 record and didn’t fare too well in his first few outings. In fact, he went 2-4 in his first 6 fights under the UFC banner. After a number of bonuses and going on an insane 7-1 streak in a very deep light heavyweight division, Blachowicz earned a chance at 205-pound gold. He stopped Dominick Reyes at UFC 253 in 2020 to earn the UFC light heavyweight championship and followed that up by defending it at UFC 259 against Israel Adesanya. The Polish product has 57.30% significant striking accuracy, 1.18 takedown average and 53.33% takedown accuracy.

Jan Błachowicz is a brand ambassador of Superbet (he is sponsored by that Polish bookmaker). He is involved in Superbet’s commercials broadcast on TV and on the Internet.

The man who stands across the cage from him on Saturday night, Teixeira (32-7) is 42-years-old and currently riding a five-fight winning streak. In those five fights, he’s earned three submissions, one TKO stoppage and a split decision. He also earned two Performance of the Night honors. Most recently Teixiera earned a third-round rear-naked choke victory against Thiago Santos to earn him a shot at Blachowicz’s title. The Brazilian has 58.17% significant striking accuracy, 2.04 takedown average and 40.28% takedown accuracy.

Superbet is a bookmaker of Romanian origin, legally operating also in Poland. The bookmaker has established a sponsorship cooperation with Jan Błachowicz, who became its brand ambassador and participates in Superbet’s commercials appearing on television and the Internet.

Superbet gives new players in Poland 2 standard welcome bonuses: doubling the first deposit up to 200 PLN and cashback up to 1,300 PLN. Alexander Volkov vs Marcin Tybura

Midway through the pay-per-view portion of the UFC 267 main card, Alexander Volkov takes on Marcin Tybura. Tybura (22-6) was born in Uniejow, Poland however he now trains out of Syndicate MMA in Las Vegas, Nevada. The heavyweight is currently riding a five-fight winning streak, with his two most recent victories coming via TKO stoppage that earned him Performance of the Night honors. Volkov (33-9) is coming off a decision loss to the number one contender in the heavyweight division Cyril Gane.

Michał Oleksiejczuk vs Shamil Gamzatov

26-year-old Michal Oleksiejczuk (15-4, 1NC) was born in Łęczna, Poland and trains out of GKS Górnik Łęczna MMA. He came into the UFC at 12-2 and in his first outing had a no-contest against Khalil Rountree. He has since gone 3-2, with his most recent performance being a split decision victory against Modestas Bukauskas. Oleksiejczuk is taking on the very talented and undefeated Gamzatov (14-0). In the Russian’s Octagon debut he earned a split decision against Klidson Abreu. That fight took place in 2019.

With so many Polish fighters on the card, you may wonder how Polish legal bookmakers evaluate chances of Błachowicz, Tybura and Oleksiejczuk.
