Combate Global continues their run of shows at the Univision studio in Miami with an eight-fight card full of Latin American talent. Undefeated BJJ black belt Levi Escobar (2-0) gets the main event spot on the back of two wins with Combate. He will fight against 26-year-old boxer Daniel Sanchez (2-1), who lost will try to get back on track after a submission loss at Combate Global 16. The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 2 winner Erick Montano (8-6) makes his Combate Global debut against the MMA Lab’s Mark Martin (6-1). Montano fell on a rough streak after winning TUF, losing his next two UFC fights against Randy Brown and Max Griffin before being released from the promotion, losing his next fight as well before picking up a win in his last fight in 2019. Martin, meanwhile, is a high-level wrestler who has won his last five fights, including his last three with LFA.

Former Titan FC flyweight champion Wascar Cruz (12-7) makes his second Combate Global appearance, facing fellow Titan FC veteran Shojin Miki (7-8). The Dominican Republic’s Cruz picked up a TKO win at Combate Global 16 in his last fight, while Hawaii’s Miki is looking to snap a three-fight losing streak in his Combate Global debut.
