ONE Championship returns to the Singapore Indoor Stadium for ONE 157: Petchmorakot vs. Vienot on Friday, May 20.

The stacked card concludes with two massive Muay Thai World Title bouts. But the event will run the full gamut of martial arts and give fans a chance to enjoy everything that makes the sport great.

3 Bouts to Watch at ONE 157

What should fans keep an eye on when the action begins? Let’s take a look at three bouts that cannot be missed.

Garry Tonon vs. Tye Ruotolo

The submission grappling contest between Garry Tonon and Tye Ruotolo will be an exciting, high-paced battle on the canvas. However, the competitive rivalry between Danaher Death Squad and Atos Jiu-Jitsu makes this matchup a little more interesting.

While there is no hatred between these two athletes, the noted rivalry between their teammates in other global competitions brings a little more to the matchup.

The stylistic clash on the ground brings an exciting grappling style to the masses. Both men continually attack and never stall. They are each committed to keeping grappling matches exciting and do not mind taking a risk. That is a great sign for fans around the globe.

As ONE continues to showcase every martial art, this may be the best submission grappling contest of the year.

Jonathan Haggerty vs. Walter Goncalves

The ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix is an exciting tournament. Still, the matchup between #2-ranked contender Jonathan Haggerty and Walter Goncalves stands out as one of the top quarterfinal matchups.

While Rodtang Jitmuangnon sits atop the mountain and welcomes Jacob Smith for his quarterfinal match, these two contenders have been his toughest opponents inside the Circle to date.

After “The Iron Man,” Haggerty may be considered to be the next favorite. And with the winner receiving a shot at the gold if Rodtang is defeated, a potential trilogy bout is in play.

Haggerty vs. Goncalves could steal the show and will send the winner to the semifinal of the most exciting tournament of 2022.

Wondergirl vs. Zeba Bano

Nat “Wondergirl” Jaroonsak will make her mixed martial arts debut on the lead card, but she won’t get an easy start to her new career.

Standing on the opposite of the Circle against her will be India’s Zeba Bano. The undefeated athlete will make her organizational debut and have a shot at grabbing a marquee victory right away.

The eyes are firmly upon Wondergirl, however. She has been preparing for this transition for a couple of years and has decided it is time to make the move. The world will get a glimpse of what she can do with her full slate of skills.

How far along is she in becoming a well-rounded athlete? Is she the next big thing in the strawweight division? These questions may be answered and make this one of the reasons to check into ONE 157 from the start of the lead card.

ONE 157 airs live and free on Friday, May 20, at 5 a.m. ET/2 a.m. PT on watch.onefc.com and the ONE Super App. The main card will begin at 8:30 a.m. ET/5:30 a.m. PT.
