The Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta, Georgia plays host to the PFL for the second week of the second half of the regular season, as heavyweights and featherweights vie for a playoff spot at PFL 5 2022.

Below are the current standings for the heavyweight and featherweight divisions after the action at PFL 2 2022 (images courtesy of the PFL).

Reigning champion Bruno Cappelozza joins fellow promotional mainstays Renan Ferreira, Denis Goltsov, and Ante Delija as the fighters in prime position to make the playoffs after picking up early stoppage victories. A win for each fighter guarantees them a spot in the playoffs. Beyond them, only Klidson Abreu and Matheus Scheffel are the only other fighters from PFL 2 2022 to return to action tonight. Abreu will face Ferreira and Scheffel will face Cappelozza.

Many newcomers are set to compete against each other, all with an unlikely path to the playoffs. UFC veterans Juan Adams and Maurice Greene will make their promotional debuts against 8-5 Tonga native Sam Kei and Goltsov respectively. CFFC, Dana White’s Contender Series, and ACA vet Shelton Graves will also make his debut against Delija.

The featherweight division is much more wide-open, as no finishes were secured in the first half of the regular season. Sheymon Moraes, Alejandro Flores, Chris Wade, Bubba Jenkins, and Brendan Loughnane all picked up decision victories to put themselves three points ahead of the rest of the field. Ryoji Kudo, Kyle Bochniak, and Lance Palmer will all try to rebound in an effort to continue their season, while PFL Challenger Series 4 winner Reinaldo Ekson and Bosnian LFA vet Ago Huskic will debut against Jenkins and Loughnane respectively.

With a playoff spot already secured, former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis will fight in the co-main event tonight against Scottish former UFC contender Stevie Ray. Ray must pick up a third-round finish or better in order to make the lightweight playoffs, otherwise reigning champion Raush Manfio will have a chance to defend his title despite losing a decision to Olivier Aubin-Mercier at PFL 4 2022 last week.
