UFC 276 goes down this weekend from the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas. The blockbuster card is headlined by middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, who looks to make the fifth defence of his strap as he takes on Jared Cannonier. In the co-main event, Alexander Volkanovski looks to get his third victory over former champion, Max Holloway as the Hawaiian looks to finally work out the puzzle Volkanovski provides. We break down the entire fight card on this week’s MMASucka podcast:
UFC 276
The early prelims see Jessica Rose-Clark return, looking to get back in the win column after a disappointment last time out. Jessica Eye and Maycee Barber clash at flyweight in what could see a changing of the guard. Barber began her career with a lot of hype but has plateaued in recent times. A win over Eye would likely push her into the top 10.
Uriah Hall and Andre Muniz clash at middleweight in a clash of ranked fighters. This is a classic striker vs grappler with Hall seemingly having the advantage on the feet with Muniz going to be able to dominate on the ground.
Donald Cerrone steps in on short notice to replace Bobby Green to face off against Jim Miller in a rematch of their 2014 bout. The fight will take place at welterweight due to its relatively late notice.
Ian Garry faces the toughest test of his career as he takes on Gabe Green, who is 2-0 in his most recent two UFC bouts. Green has a great opportunity to stop the Garry hype train. The third welterweight fight on the card sees former champion, Robbie Lawler takes on Bryan Barberena in what promises to be an all-action banger. Brad Riddell and Jalin Turner round out the fights before the main card kicks off.

Main Card
We’ve already lost Miesha Tate vs. Lauren Murphy from the main card, however, four fights still remain. Sean O’Malley faces a ranked opponent and tough customer in Pedro Munhoz. Munhoz is without a doubt the toughest test of O’Malley’s career, however, he still appears to have the upper hand.
Sean Strickland and Alex Pereira clash in an unofficial #1 contender fight for the 185lbs strap. Fans will likely be on the side of the former kickboxer, Pereira, as there is a potential of a rematch with Adesanya from a 2017 kickboxing match where Pereira knocked Adesanya out.
The co-main event promises to excite as Alexander Volkanovski looks to finally put an end to his rivalry with Max Holloway by beating him a third time. Holloway will hope to finally solve the Volkanovski puzzle by defeating the Australian champion. The first two fights between the two men were extremely close and we can expect a similar affair here.
The main event pits Israel Adesanya against Jared Cannonier in a middleweight clash to determine the best 185lbs fighter on the planet. The champion is looking to make the fifth defence of his career, whereas Cannonier is looking to upset the odds and notch the victory.
