LFA comes back after nearly a month away tonight, bringing LFA 135 to the Arizona Federal Theatre in Phoenix.

The welterweight main event brings Mexican two-time Olympic Greco-Roman wrestler Alfonso Leyva to his first MMA fight on American soil, battling Daniel Reis, who is also making his American debut. Despite his wrestling background, “Sniper” Leyva has won all five of his MMA fights by KO/TKO, never seeing the third round. Brazilian “Dani Boy” Reis returned from a five and a half year layoff in February to pick up a first-round submission victory, bringing his record to 8-1.

Former Titan FC flyweight champion Wascar Cruz returns for his second bout with LFA in the co-main event tonight, facing ACA veteran Felipe Bunes. After losing the Titan title at Titan FC 68, “La Avispa” split two fights in Combate Global before returning to Titan for one fight. Most recently, the Dominican Cruz picked up a first-round submission win at LFA 127. The Pitbull Brothers-trained “Felipinho” Bunes made his LFA debut in his last fight, losing to former longtime UFC contender Jussier Formiga at LFA 124 by second-round submission for his fourth loss in his last five fights.

Two fighters will also return to action after unsuccessful attempts at capturing titles. Lucas Clay dropped a split decision to Aaron McKenzie at LFA 128 for the lightweight title, and will look to rebound from his second career loss against Austin Wourms, who picked up an upset win over Jacobi Jones in his last fight at LFA 124. Meanwhile, Allan Begosso lost a unanimous decision to recently-signed Bellator fighter Richie Palencia for the bantamweight championship at LFA 119 for his first career loss. He will face Paris Stanford, who will look to snap a two-fight skid in his first fight in over two years.

Two interesting women’s bouts are also on the main card. After going 3-0 as an amateur, Maria Henderson, wife of former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson, is set for her professional debut against Melanie McIntyre, who has not fought in nearly four years and lost two straight fights to end her amateur career. Multiple-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion Jena Bishop will try to keep her undefeated MMA record intact, going for her third professional win against 22 year old Luana Santos, who is also undefeated at 3-0 and making her LFA and American debut.

MMA Sucka has fans covered with LFA 133 results, with the preliminary card kicking off the action at 7:30pm ET/4:30pm PT on LFA’s Facebook page, followed by the main card at 11pm ET/8pm PT on UFC Fight Pass.
