One of the hottest free agents in the sport is off the market.

KSW Welterweight and Middleweight Champion Roberto Soldic has signed with ONE Championship, the talented two-division athlete announced on The MMA Hour on Monday.

Soldic is currently riding a seven-bout win streak into his new home. Recent performances have put the spotlight upon him, and now he is ready for the next stage of his career.

The 20-3 Croatian has finished 18 of his victories to make himself one of the most highly-regarded prospects in recent years. He is ready for the global stage and is ready to embrace ONE’s martial arts spirit.

“For me, it’s a better opportunity,” Soldic said on The MMA Hour.

“ONE is something special, something different. It’s true martial arts.”

Soldic had offers on the table from various martial arts organizations. And he wasn’t shy in offering insight into why he chose ONE over the competition, specifically the UFC.

“You know what happens with UFC stars when they go to ONE — they lose. They cannot take the ONE belt,” said Soldic.

“I want to try and take this belt where UFC fighters have failed.”

Soldic does not want to wait long for his first match in ONE. The talented Croatian posited a possible October debut as being ideal. He even mentioned Eddie Alvarez as one of the names he wants to compete against in his new home.

In addition to mixed martial arts, Soldic has eyes on World Championships in other sports, making it a key reason in choosing ONE.

“I go for a challenge, and ONE is a challenge,” stated the Croatian.

“I want to be an everything champion.”

No date has been set for Soldic’s debut.
