Aaron Pico vs Jeremy Kennedy Goes Down at Bellator 286

Pico and Kennedy were expected to tussle at Bellator 277, however, that did not take place.

Pico (10-3) is riding a six-fight winning streak, dating back to 2020. Over the course of those six fights, he only went to the judges’ scorecards on one occasion and finished the other five with submissions or strikes. Most recently, Pico picked up a TKO victory in the third round against Adil Edwards.

Kennedy (17-3, 1NC) has not fought since that Pico cancellation. His last bout was in December 2021, when he earned a unanimous decision against Emmanuel Sanchez at Bellator 272. Since joining the Bellator roster, Kennedy has gone 2-1, with his lone loss to Adam Borics.

Bellator 286 goes down on Saturday, October 1 from the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center in Long Beach, California.

The event is headlined by featherweight kingpin and No. 1-ranked pound-for-pound fighter Patricio “Pitbull” (33-5) defending his world championship against surging Hungarian Adam Borics. In an eye-popping co-main event, Long Beach’s native son AJ McKee will make his lightweight debut, as the former 145-pound champion takes on Spike Carlyle, who rides a 5-fight wave of winning momentum into the high-profile fight.
