Developing African MMA talent is becoming more lucrative of a pursuit for MMA promotions by the month, and UAE Warriors has become one of the key organizations to do that. Their third African-themed event goes down in Abu Dhabi today, capped off by a light heavyweight title for the promotion. Stay tuned here for live UAE Warriors 32 results.

Names to Watch at UAE Warriors 32

In the main event, the light heavyweight championship is on the line as Kevin Oumar (8-3) of France fights Emilio Quissua (3-0) of Germany. Oumar is a veteran of UAE Warriors and enters his third fight with the promotion. While he trains out of the Atch Academy in Paris, he has roots in Comoros. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been the most consistent of MMA fighters and has only fought three times in the last seven years as a pro. However, he’s a two-time French kickboxing champion and a five-time French Sanda champion.

His undefeated opponent, Quissua, trains out of Planet Eater in Germany under Peter Sobotta. While he’s a German citizen, his roots go back to Angola. Quissua is much greener and newer to the MMA scene at age 25 and is taking a huge step up by facing Oumar in a five-round fight.

Also on the card is 6-0 Angolan welterweight Shido Soto, fighting in the c0-main event. Soto has finished five of six opponents in the first round and has to be close to a title fight in UAE Warriors with a win today. He’s got a black belt both in kickboxing and Brazilian Jiujitsu, making him a dual threat against Morocco’s Badreddine Diani.

Another fighter to watch is 3-0 flyweight Muhidin Abubakar of England. Despite being pretty fresh to MMA at 23 years old, he fought fourteen times as an amateur, going 12-2. He accumulated international experience as an amateur, fighting both for Cage Warriors and IMMAF. Originating from Somalia, Muhidin is taking a big step up in competition today and must have a lot of confidence from the UAE Warriors matchmakers.

Finally, keep an eye on Mo Elawil of the Netherlands, who brings a perfect record of 5-0 to the UAE Warriors cage. Elawil is a solid kickboxer, but is also a threat on the ground and holds two wins via some form of leg lock. He most recently tarnished the spotless record of 8-0 German fighter Chakir Has Haddou at UAE Warriors 26, and fights another fighter with more experience today against Yazid Chouchane (7-3).
