The kingpin organization of Polish MMA returns with KSW 83: Colosseum 2. With eleven bouts including 2 undisputed title fights, the event will be televised on Saturday, 3rd of June. It will be available on online PPV through KSW TV for the majority of countries around the world.

KSW 83: Colosseum 2: Main Fights

The rubber match between KSW’s legendary warrior Mamed Khalidov and Scott Askham will head the event. Both are former middleweight champions fighting not for a belt but to settle their rivalry once and for all. In their first encounter, Askham hammered Khalidov on the ground to take a decision, while in their second Khalidov would flatten Askham with a stunning flying switch kick KO. Askham will attempt to prove their previous fight a fluke while Khalidov’s task is to wrench back the clock hand one more time.

The first title fight will be an undisputed/interim title unification bout at lightweight. KSW’s featherweight champion Salahdine Parnasse has already captured the interim belt. But if he wants to become a true double champion he’ll need to take it from the hands of Marian Ziółkowski, who has three defenses and looking to achieve his biggest victory to date. Salahdine is widely seen as one of KSW’s shining talents, so this is an opportunity for him to cement himself as one of their biggest stars – or for the “Golden Boy” Ziółkowski to steal his thunder.

It would hardly be a KSW mega-event without the presence of the larger-than-life Mariusz Pudzianowski. The former World’s Strongest Man will try to rebound from his defeat at the hands of Khalidov against the former professional heavyweight boxer Artur Szpilka. Szpilka has had experience against top professionals in boxing like Derek Chisora, but Pudzianowski represents his most difficult MMA opponent to date.

A second title fight will see Paweł Pawlak take on Tomasz Romanowski for the vacant KSW middleweight belt. Both are on a six and five fight winning streak respectively and this represents a major opportunity for either to set up some extremely high profile fights in the future.

Other Fights

Valeriu Mircea and Roman Szymański are clashing in a rematch from Szymański’s victory last year. Their fight may well be a lightweight title shot eliminator against the winner of Parnasse versus Ziółkowski.

KSW mainstay Michał Materla will take on Radosław Paczuski at middleweight, while Daniel Rutkowski will lock horns with Adam Soldaev at featherweight in a battle that may very well have title implications itself. Maciej Kazieczko, a former title challenger, will battle the Czech Leo Brichta. There will be two heavyweight bouts seeing Arkadiusz Wrzosek take on Bogdan Stoica and Krzysztof Głowacki battling Patryk Tołkaczewski. Finally, the card will be rounded off by a last minute catchweight bout at 163 pounds with Mariusz Joniak taking on Sebastian Romanowski.
