The next Prime instalment of ONE Championship will be ONE Fight Night 13 on August 4 and fans are chomping at the bit to see Thai prodigy Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak return to action.
There has been a bit of a shakeup under one week prior to the event, as Supergirl now has a new opponent. The 19-year-old was expected to take on accomplished Spanish striker Cristina Morales live in U.S. primetime, however, Morales was not medically cleared to compete. She will now face the reigning WBC Muaythai World Flyweight champion and the reigning ISKA World Super Featherweight champion Lara Fernandez.
MMASucka has confirmed the opponent change from multiple sources close to the fight.
Supergirl is 2-1 under the ONE promotional banner, with a knockout of Milagros Lopez in her debut in 2020, a split decision victory against Ekaterina Vandaryeva in 2022 and most recently a split decision loss to Stamp Fairtex at ONE Fight Night 6.
There is no shame in a loss to Fairtex for the young talent and will only set her up for even more success in the future. She is still one of the brightest prospects on the ONE Championship roster.
Her opponent, Fernandez began training at the tender age of 14 an impressive 41-15-3 record coming into her this ONE contest. The 26-year-old is 1-2 in the ONE Circle, with a victory against Dangkongfah Banchamek at ONE 164.
This fight has fireworks written all over it. Supergirl earned a $50,000 performance bonus from ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong in her last performance. So if that has anything to say for this upcoming bout, keep your eyes peeled.

A win for either female will catapult them up the ONE World Rankings and set them up for future success.
ONE Fight Night 13 will air live on Friday, August 4, on Prime Video. The action will begin at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The event is free for all U.S. and Canadian Prime Video subscribers.
