Canada’s Pinnacle MMA promotion returns for its first event of 2024. There are three title fights on the main card, one amateur title fight and we will have full BFL 79 results for you all evening long.

The fight card is one of the most well-rounded in BFL’s 14-year existence. There are 18 total fights, with 12 of those being professional bouts.

The main card is stacked, with three title fights.

Main event

In the BFL 79 main event, the featherweight championship is up for grabs, as the interim champion Maxime Soucy takes on Radley Da Silva. The two have been life long martial artists and will put their skills to the test. Soucy won the interim title, at BFL 77 when he earned a TKO victory over Nic Ouellet. Da Silva last fought at BFL 78, winning unanimously against Mike McAloon.

The 165-pound championship will take place in the co-main event, as Rodrigo Sezinando takes on Scottie Stockman. The Brazilian shocked the B.C. fans, when he finished the very dangerous Saeid Mirzaei at BFL 76. Stockman will be making his promotional debut but is riding an eight-fight winning streak.

The final belt up on the main card is the bantamweight strap, as Ali Wasuk once again fights for a title, this time against Ty Wilson. Wasuk’s only losses since 2019 have come at the hands of the division’s previous champions. Most recently, the 135-pounder earned a unanimous decision against Josh Kwiatkowski. Wilson’s last time inside the BFL cage was against the former champion Cole Smith and that did not end well for him, as he lost via rear-naked choke in the first round of their BFL 59 bout. Fast forward to more recently, and Wilson is currently riding a three-fight winning streak.

You can catch the preliminary action on the promotion’s YouTube channel beginning at 4:30 p.m. PT and the main card live on UFC Fight Pass at 7:30 p.m. PT.
