A big weekend of competitive violence kicks off today and tonight. After Cage Warriors 175 signs off from BEC Arena, Karate Combat takes center stage inside the United States. While Nashville, TN is known as the birthplace of country and western music, tonight, it’s the host city for Karate Combat 48.

Live coverage begins this evening at 6:30 pm ET/ 3:30 pm PT on YouTube with the countdown show before the card itself kicks off at 7 pm ET/ 4 pm PT on both YouTube and UFC Fight Pass.

Between karate fights and submission-only grappling, tonight’s show features a full slate of 15 fights.

Main Event

At the top of the bill tonight is a battle for the Karate Combat Heavyweight Championship in the Karate Combat 48 main event. Incumbent champion Sam Alvey (36-18-1, 2 NC combat sports, 2-0, 1 NC Karate Combat) meets challenger Antonio Arroyo (12-6, 1 NC combat sports, 2-0, 1 NC Karate Combat.) This is a five-round fight at three minutes per round to close the show.

Co-Main Event

Immediately before that, the co-main event sees a welterweight contest between Cristian Perez (13-1 MMA, Karate Combat debut) and John Marquez (2-2 MMA, Karate Combat debut.)
