UFC Fight Night 160 Results

The octagon touches down in Denmark for the very first time as Copenhagen hosts UFC Fight Night 160. A middleweight main event caps off the card as Jack Hermansson takes on Jared Cannonier. Hermansson enters the fight on a four fight win streak coming off the two biggest wins of his career. In back-to-back months, Hermansson finished David Branch by guillotine choke and then went on to defeat Ronaldo Souza by unanimous decision in his first main event.

As for Cannonier, he enters the contest on a two fight win streak, also coming off some of the biggest wins in his career. He too defeated David Branch, finishing him by TKO at UFC 230. Cannonier would then go on to face former middleweight champion, Anderson Silva at UFC 237 in Brazil. He finished that fight as well, defeating Silva with leg kicks for another TKO victory. Both men look to inch their way closer to a title shot as they look for a win in Copenhagen.

In the co-main event, Olympic silver medalist in Greco-Roman Wrestling, Mark Madsen makes his UFC debut. Madsen enters the octagon with an undefeated record of 8-0 as he takes on Italy‘s Danilo Belluardo. Belluardo is coming off a loss in his UFC debut after previously winning six straight. That loss came at UFC Fight Night 153 as he lost by second round TKO to Joel Alvarez that night.

Before the co-main event, Gunnar Nelson makes his return to the cage. After originally being scheduled to face former title challenger, Thiago Alves, he will now face Gilbert Burns. Nelson has split his last two fights, as he defeated Alex Oliveira at UFC 231 and then lost to Leon Edwards at UFC Fight Night 147. As for Burns, he will be coming into the contest on a three fight win streak with wins over Olivier Aubin-Mercier and Alexey Kunchenko.

Kicking off the main card will be a fight in the welterweight division as Alex Oliveira makes his return to face Nicolas Dalby. Oliveira will look to pick up his first win in nearly a year, as his last win came in September 2018. As for Dalby, he looks to win four of his last five with a big win over Cowboy. Next up is a light heavyweight bout as former interim title challenger, Ovince Saint Preux faces Michal Oleksiejczuk. Oleksiejczuk enters the contest winner of his last two while OSP comes in having lost his last two, looking to rebound with a win. Finally, before Nelson takes on Burns, things stay in the light heavyweight division as Ion Cutelaba takes on Khalil Rountree Jr.. Cutelaba recently lost to former title challenger Glover Teixeira, whereas Rountree impressed many with his recent win over Eryk Anders.
