BKB Lockdown 2 Set for March

Simply standing for Bare Knuckle Boxing, BKB has long been the staple of modern bare-knuckle combat. The England based promotion will hold its first event of 2021 on March 27th, at the O2 Arena in London, England.

BKB Lockdown 2 Preview

BKB’s first event of 2021, exclusively available on FITE.TV, will headline a bantamweight title fight between Sean George (6-3-2, 2 KOs) and Dan Chapman (2-0, 1 KOs). George won the vacant title at BKB Lockdown in November 2020, having earned a unanimous decision nod over Dean “Smudger” Smith. The challenger, Dan Chapman, was on the verge of representing Great Britain in the 2012 London Olympics, but suffered serious injuries in a motor vehicle accident, causing him to withdraw.

The co-main event features a fight between Connor Tierney and James Connelly. This fight is a rematch from BKB 20, where the pair squared off in the Prize Fighter Series 3 Final. Tierney earned a KO victory over Connelly with a vicious overhand right.

Heavyweights Collide

In the opening bout of the night, Daniel Podmore will defend the Heavyweight British Title against Charlie Milner. Podmore defeated Rob Cunningham at BKB Lockdown to earn the heavyweight title. Charlie “Kung Fu Panda” Milner made his BKB debut at BKB Lockdown where he defeated Eric Olsen via unanimous decision. Prior to bare knuckle, Milner competed in MMA, compiling a record of 4-1.

A Night Full of Fights

BKB Lockdown 2 is set for a total of at least nine fights. With the card having been rescheduled once due to COVID related complications, it is very well possible the event could be moved again, or fights could be changed. It is worth noting, three weight division BKB champion James Sweeney is expected to make his return to action but has yet to have his opponent announced.
