The spectator sport of jiu-jitsu continues to grow, and on October 2nd, Medusa Female-Only Jiu-Jitsu debuts as a promotion dedicated to showcasing the talent and excitement of the best female grapplers on the planet. Keep it right here for Medusa Jiu-Jitsu 1 results live from Cancun, Mexico.

The event features two eight-woman tournament brackets, one with EBI rules, and one with Combat Jiu-Jitsu rules. The EBI tournament features recognizable names to fight fans in current UFC strawweight Vanessa Demopoulos and MMA veteran Celine Haga. The Combat Jiu-Jitsu tournament, meanwhile, also has big names such as UFC flyweight Gillian Robertson, multiple-time BJJ world champion Bia Mesquita, and Combat Jiu-Jitsu Worlds champion Brianna Ste-Marie. A special Combat Jiu-Jitsu match between Jennifer Rivera and Ffion Davies will also take place.
