In his announcement video, Jake Paul highlights some pad work and follows with his message to his return to boxing. Although an opponent nor an official date has been announced, it is undeniable that Paul will continue to bring eyes onto himself as well as the sport of boxing. As one-half of the Paul brothers, Jake Paul competed three times last year, picking up victories over former MMA stars, Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley. The 25-year-old social media influencer turned boxer was to face Tommy Fury in December of last year, but Fury had to pull out of the fight due to injury.
In his most recent endeavor, Paul has created his own boxing promotion, Most Valuable Promotions, and signed the WBO, WBC, and IBO women’s featherweight champion, Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano. Serrano is to face Katie Taylor on April 30th in a bout to be held at Madison Square Garden.
MMA Around the Corner?

Despite his announcement to his return to boxing, Jake Paul continues to poke his nose into the world of mixed martial arts. Whether it be internet banter with Dillon Danis or poking fun at Dana White, Paul continues to tease a jump to MMA. In January, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Eagle FC claimed to have offered Paul a contract to compete in the rising MMA promotion, but Paul and his team have denied such claims. One can only wonder how the controversial social media star would fair in the cage.
