MF & DAZN: X Series 10 – The Prime Card

KSI vs. Tommy Fury

The final fight on the night will be contested between KSI and Tommy Fury. KSI, as we know, is the face of influencer boxing and is arguably its biggest star. At 3-0, the Sidemen star has impressed throughout his career with his alternative boxing style that he’s practised at London Shootfighters gym.

Standing across from KSI will be Tommy Fury, a man himself who is no stranger to the influencer scene. The professional boxer turned Love Island reality TV star turned influencer boxer competed against Jake Paul last time out in a winning effort. If Fury is honest with himself, he’s never going to be a world champion in professional boxing and can more than likely make more money in the influencer scene.

KSI will be looking to beat Fury, something that Paul couldn’t do. Fury, on the other hand will be looking to defeat the two biggest names in the influencer game.

Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis

Logan, the older of the two Paul brothers will clash with a familiar name in the world of MMA, Dillon Danis. This fight has caught headlines for all the wrong reasons, with a bitter rivalry being brewed between the two men as a result of Danis’ pre-fight antics.

This fight is regarded as the co-headliner and rightfully so. They have put more promotional effort in than KSI or Fury, with more people talking about the fight than the former. Paul hasn’t competed in boxing since his exhibition with Floyd Mayweather back in 2021. Danis, however, hasn’t ever competed under boxing rules and hasn’t competed in combat sports since 2019 for Bellator.

Whether this fight will even go ahead is questionable, but let’s hope that it does.

Main Card

Salt Papi vs. Slim Albaher

Two of the more recognisable names in the scene, Salt Papi and Slim Albaher will finally clash in a highly anticipated fight which has been rumoured for a number of months. Both men have legitimate talent and you won’t see swinging arm punches from either man.

Papi is 3-1 in his boxing career, having scored two knockouts but lost a decision last time out to Anthony Taylor. Slim is 6-0 (3-0 in pro bouts) and is the Misfits Light Heavyweight title holder.

This is expected to be a highly competitive fight which isn’t to be missed.

Deen the Great vs. Walid Sharks 2

A rematch between two men who previously met on a Misfits card, Deen the Great and Walid Sharks certainly have unfinished business.

Having been dropped twice in the second round of their original bout, Deen the Great wasn’t looking in good shape. Heading into the third, he was certainly down on the scorecards, massively. A huge overhand right led to Sharks being unable to get back to his feet, gifting Deen the victory. The rematch was inevitable and it’ll go down on The Prime Card.

King Kenny vs. Anthony Taylor

An exciting fight on the main card sees King Kenny take on Anthony Taylor. Kenny looked phenomenal last time out dominating his opponent in the Kingpyn Semi-finals. He looked calm, collected, ruthless and accomplished in that performance. Holding a record of 4-2, he’s a regular in the influencer scene.

Taylor began life as an MMA fighter, couldn’t make it and transitioned into the influencer scene. With a record of 4-6-2 Taylor is always entertaining during fight week but on the end of a nine-inch reach disadvantage, he might struggle in the fight itself.

Whindersson Nunes vs. My Mate Nate

Having burst onto the British scene on the Kingpyn card with a knockout of Polish rapper, Filipek, Whindersson Nunes had a lot of potential. The Brazillian superstar, who boasts 59.6 million Instagram followers has a decent skillset and despite being outclassed last time out, he still has the ability to make it big in the scene. He’ll bring tons of followers from his native Brazil, which is always a plus for the promoters.

My Mate Nate, like Nunes last fought King Kenny and was thoroughly outclassed. He made a name for himself in Thailand, fighting in influencer fights as far back as 2020. These two acquisitions from Kingpyn should put on a good, competitive match-up.

Wassabi Lmao vs. Los Pineda Coladas

Opening up the main card is a tag-team boxing match, which tells you all you need to know about this card. Of course, KSI, Fury, Paul and Danis will try and legitimise the card, but when there’s a tag-team boxing match on the card, it’s a tough sell.

Featuring in the fight will be Alex Wassabi and NichLmao, both Swedish YouTubers against American YouTuber BDave and Mexican professional boxer (in the loosest sense of the word) Luis Pineda.

Preliminary Card

Chase DeMoore vs. Tempo Arts

American reality TV star, Chase DeMoore will clash with Tempo Arts in a heavyweight clash. DeMoore is 0-2 having lost by TKO and DQ. Arts is 2-0 and knocked his opponent out in the first round last time out.

S-X vs. DTG

SX will be making his boxing debut on The Prime Card. He’s an English rapper who has worked with names including Chance the Rapper and Childish Gambino. He’ll clash with fellow British rapper, DTG. DTG is 0-1 in his boxing career having lost to Halal Ham last time out.

Astrid Wett vs. Alexia Grace

The only female fight on the card features a grudge match between Astrid Wett and Alexia Grace. Wett is 2-0 in boxing and was scheduled to fight Grace on July 29th. During the build up, it got extremely personal, with Wett throwing drinks at Grace, pushing her, slapping her and it led to Grace snapping. During a face-off on fight night, Grace threw Wett through a table, leading to the former being taken to hospital.

They’ll meet finally in a sanctioned bout which promises fireworks as these two women clearly don’t like one another.

Swarmz vs. Ryan Taylor 2

Another rematch is set to open up The Prime Card. Rapper, Swarmz will take on Ryan Taylor again after finishing him last time out. Tayloe suffered an eye injury early into the fight and was forced to withdraw from the bout. Taylor is 0-3-1 in his boxing career, losing to Slim, Swarmz and DK Money and drawing with Anthony Taylor. This rematch should entertain everyone.

Let’s not get it twisted, however, it’s all about the co-headliners in what promises to make a splash in the world of influencer boxing.
