Ahead of the PFL Europe League in 2023, the promotion has signed a “historic media rights partnership for Europe“. As per a PFL press release:

PFL and DAZN also announced a historic, multiyear media rights agreement to bring all PFL global events exclusively to DAZN in select major international markets, with a focus on Europe.

The CEO of PFL, Peter Murray commented on the news stating, “PFL Europe is the beginning of the Champions League of MMA from PFL. We are excited to have DAZN as our strategic media rights distribution partner in Europe for all of fight franchises – PFL Global League, PFL Challenger Series, PFL Europe, and PFL PPV Super Fight Division.”

DAZN’s CEO, Shay Segev said, “We have a strong track record investing in and accelerating the growth of sports. We are also more agile and innovative than traditional broadcasters and, like the PFL, we want to stay relevant to today’s consumer. With DAZN, fans can either watch in the traditional linear way or enjoy a more immersive and interactive entertainment experience with greater gamification and bolt-on products and services.”

Current TV Deals

As things stand, the PFL airs in the US on ESPN and ESPN+ and has a UK partnership with Channel 4. The Channel 4 deal is similar to Bellator’s BBC iPlayer deal.

They also stream worldwide to 160 countries using Eurosport, Sky Sports and DirecTV amongst other platforms.

PFL in Europe

The PFL are set to have their biggest event of the year on November 25th with their Championship event with plenty of huge fights taking place in New York. From Kayla Harrison to up-and-coming star, Dakota Ditcheva and former UFC stars Marlon MoraesShane Burgos and Aspen Ladd, November 25th will be a huge night for the PFL. Harrison, Ditcheva and featherweight finalists, Brendan Loughnane and Bubba Jenkins all featured on the London card.

They took their project abroad to test the European market throughout August, with shows in Cardiff and London. This DAZN deal will take their European coverage to the next level in an exciting time for the PFL.
