Bellator 260: Lima vs. Amosov Preview

Bellator 260 features a six-card prelim card and a five-bout main card. It all goes down Friday, June 11th, at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT as welterweight champion Douglas Lima (32-8) defends his title against undefeated Yaroslav Amosov (25-0) in the main event. Paul Daley battles Jason Jackson on the main card and we’ll also see Aaron Pico test his skills against Aiden Lee

Lima vs. Amosov

Lima looks to bounce back after a lacklustre performance last October at Bellator 250 against Gegard Mousasi. He lost the fight by unanimous decision, snapping a three-fight win streak that led him to the welterweight championship.

Lima has fought some of the best names in the sport since joining Bellator in 2011.

Amosov steps into the ring for his first championship fight. He has a perfect MMA record and since joining Bellator in 2018, has really stood out as a fighter. He holds an impressive 6-0 promotional record record.

Amosov fought last at Bellator 252 in November 2020, taking on Logan Storley.  Amosov won by split decision.

Either man can win this bout, but Amosov must put in extra work to take down a fighter with roundabout skills as impressive as those held by Lima.

Daley vs. Jackson

In the co-headliner at Bellator 260, Paul Daley (43–17–2 MMA, 9-4 BMMA) looks to test his skills against Jackson (14-4 MMA, 5-1 BMMA.) Both men come into the ring off huge wins. Daley dropped Sabah Homasi with a left hook in the second round at Bellator 257, finishing him with ground-and-pound strikes for a stoppage. Jackson won a unanimous decision victory over Neiman Gracie on the same Bellator card.

Pico vs. Lee

Pico (7-3) says that he won’t underestimate the “tricky” Aiden Lee (9-4.) He knows that Lee has nothing to lose and will fight a fighter’s fight. With this in mind, he comes into the fight off a three-fight win streak and has learned to slow the pace to stay in better control of his opponent.

Lee comes into this bout on a two-fight win streak. We last saw Lee in September at Bellator Euro Season 8. He defeated Jeremy Petley in Round 1 via KO by head kick.
